Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms govern your use of resumegencv.com, app.resumegencv.com, and the related ResumeGenCV tools and services (the Service). ResumeGenCV is independently operated and is not a corporation or other firm. In these Terms, "ResumeGenCV," "we," "us," and "our" refer to its independent operator.

MySuperResume is a ResumeGenCV product developed and managed by the same independent developer. MySuperResume has its own terms, which govern use of that product unless these Terms expressly say otherwise.

By creating an account, using the Service, or purchasing Premium access, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are not legally able to contract on your own, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.

• Provide accurate account information and keep access to your email account secure.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@resumegencv.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You can delete your account and its associated user content through Account → Delete Account.

3. What the Service provides

ResumeGenCV provides resume and cover-letter creation, document generation, scoring and matching, feedback, interview-practice, and related career tools. Available features and limits depend on the free or paid access shown in the Service.

Some document data may be stored in your browser, synchronized with our servers, or temporarily processed to generate a file or result. Keep your own copies of important documents. Browser data can be lost when storage is cleared, and the Service is not a permanent archival or backup service.

4. AI-assisted features

AI features use a self-hosted open-source model to generate suggestions, scores, practice material, and other results from the content you provide. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, or unsuitable for your circumstances. It is not professional, legal, recruitment, or career advice.

You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI output, confirming facts, and deciding whether to use it. ResumeGenCV does not guarantee interviews, employment, applicant-tracking-system performance, or any particular career outcome.

5. One-time Premium purchases

• Prices may vary by country or region. We may use purchasing-power parity and other regional factors to make pricing more appropriate for local markets.
• We may change prices, regional pricing rules, currencies, access periods, and included features at any time. A change applies only to future purchases and does not alter a purchase you already completed.
• Your final price, currency, applicable taxes, access duration, and included features are shown before payment. The amount displayed at checkout is the amount you will be asked to pay.
• Stripe processes payments. You must provide Stripe with a valid payment method and accurate billing information.
• Premium access begins after successful payment confirmation and ends automatically when the displayed access period expires.
• We may correct an obvious pricing or product-description error. If it affects a completed purchase, you may reject the correction and receive a full refund.

6. Refunds and withdrawal rights

If a technical failure caused by ResumeGenCV prevents us from delivering a paid feature—for example, we cannot generate or provide the paid PDF—and we cannot restore or provide that feature within a reasonable time after you contact us, you may request a full refund of the price you paid for that purchase.

An approved full refund returns the full amount you paid to the original payment method. We do not deduct Stripe's processing fee from your refund. Stripe and your financial institution may need additional time to complete it.

Except for the technical-failure policy above and rights required by law, purchases are not refundable merely because you changed your mind after using Premium features or no longer need the Service.

To request a refund or exercise a withdrawal right, email support@resumegencv.com from the address associated with the purchase and include the payment date and a description of the issue. Do not email complete card details.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the resumes, cover letters, job descriptions, prompts, and other content you submit. You give ResumeGenCV a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, format, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and provide the features you request. This license ends when the content is deleted, except where a temporary backup or legal retention requirement applies.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit the content and that our processing of it as described in these Terms will not violate another person's rights.

9. ResumeGenCV intellectual property

The Service, software, branding, templates, interface, and original content supplied by ResumeGenCV are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use them through the Service. They do not transfer ownership to you.

You may use documents you generate for your own job search and other lawful personal or professional purposes.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as AWS, Hetzner, Google, Microsoft Clarity, CookieHub, and Stripe and may link to third-party websites. Their services and websites are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or an outage outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect remedies you have against ResumeGenCV under mandatory law.

11. Changes, availability, and termination

We may add, remove, or change free features and reasonable aspects of the Service. We will not intentionally remove paid access you already purchased without providing a reasonable substitute or an appropriate refund. Templates and feature limits may change for future use or purchases.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, address nonpayment, or respond to a serious or repeated breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every browser or applicant-tracking system, or that a template, score, suggestion, or generated document will satisfy an employer's requirements.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeGenCV is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost opportunities, income, data, or goodwill arising from use of the Service. Where liability may lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability relating to a paid purchase will not exceed the amount you paid ResumeGenCV during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory data-protection duties, failure to supply paid digital services where law provides a remedy, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited. Consumer rights remain unaffected.

14. Disputes and applicable law

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute informally. These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the independent operator, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that consumers keep the protection of mandatory laws and access to courts available in their country of residence. Nothing in this section requires a consumer to give up a forum or remedy that applicable law provides.

15. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer these Terms with the Service while preserving your mandatory rights.

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, or Service changes. The revised date will appear above. We will give additional notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights attached to a completed purchase.
